Outputmessage – Undone (Autorock Remix) video

Bernard Farley is a busy dude. In addition to fronting next-big-thing electronic dance act Volta Bureau, he also continues to perform and produce music solo as Outputmessage. Tonight he’s got a high profile gig supporting New Zeland’s Ladyhawke at the Rock & Roll Hotel, not to be missed for sure.

Another busy dude is DJ Autorock, leading the electronic group Big/Bright while also remixing lots of local bands. Today we’ve got the video for the Autorock Remix of Undone, from Outputmessage’s 2010 album Autonomous.

Justin Jones – As It Turns Out video

Have you heard of the Dupont Underground? This new project aims to convert the huge unused space underneath Dupont Circle into an arts and performance space. Tonight there’s a fundraiser for the project at the Eastern Market Main Hall. Music for the fundraiser is curated by DC Setlist, and includes Alex Minoff, Margot MacDonald and Justin Jones. The party includes raffles, portraits, DJ Todd Love Supreme and lots more. We’re hopping on the bandwagon today with Justin Jones’s music video for As It Turns Out, from his recent release Fading Light. The video by David Y. Lee captures the atmosphere of Justin’s performances, and makes for a great game of “guess the venues”.

America Hearts shares many members with Dischord rockers Edie Sedgwick and always put on a great show, so don’t miss the first openers tonight. For a taste of their sound, here’s the video for Heart from the recent EP Country.

These United States – Ever Make You Mine video

I hope all you fans of DC music enjoy a relaxing Labor Day weekend, whether you are escaping with the masses or sticking around for all the fun stuff here. The video for today comes from our favorite DC expats These United States. The future of the group led by Jesse Elliott may be uncertain, but evolution is just a part of a group that’s played together for years, despite constantly shifting geographies. Here’s the video for Ever Make You Mine, from their 2010 album What Lasts.

Maduro – There Is No Forever video

It feels like summer took a little break on us for the last few days, before cranking the heat back up for the weekend.
