Gauche – Running

Tomorrow night DC punk oddballs Gauche open for reunited feminist icons Bikini Kill up in Brooklyn, so now’s the time for us to dive into their newest music video. “Running” from director Alex Miklowski sees the quintet dancing and sweating in all black outfits while the background green screen gets wildly creative to accompany the song’s existential angst. The debut full length album A People’s History Of Gauche drops on July 12th on Merge Records, followed by an extensive nationwide tour.

Gauche – Conspiracy Theories

No one has more to say about the idiotic Pizzagate conspiracy than the DC music community. We know Comet Ping Pong isn’t just a pizza restaurant, isn’t just a ping pong mecca but also one of hippest spots to see cutting edge live music in the city. Featuring members of Priests and Downtown Boys, punk band Gauche doesn’t pull any punches in their debut single “Conspiracy Theories” for Merge Records, with plenty of f-bombs dropping on Infowars’ Alex Jones. VHS devotee Alex Szantos of Tenley Tapes gives us this delightful vid of the band goofing off and looking cool doing it. Catch them next as their spring tour crosses the finish line at new DIY hotspot Dwell on April 5th.
