Organized by poet and interdisciplinary artist Elena Botts, Mourning Dove makes sound art compositions of organic field recordings, experimental voice, and minimal instrumentation. Celebrate the release of their new album The Unimaginable through Etxe Records this Tuesday night at Rhizome along with Richmond’s Thin Pigeon, Human Person from Fredricksburg, and DC slowcore act A Deadly Orchestra.
Wednesday 12/04:
Wednesday night’s show at Slash Run will be the last in DC for Natasha Janfaza’s Panini Girlfriend, as she and the members of Taciturn are moving to Arizona. Catch her “punk stuff in marshmallow fluff” one last time along with Weston Smith and two touring acts, Rochester’s Roselove and Stephen Ferm from NJ.
