Husband and wife duo Jake and Kim Reid left the respected shoegaze group Alcian Blue back in 2006 to do their own thing as Screen Vinyl Image. The experimental effects still cut through this duo’s music, but their live shows bring an electronic dance element that takes them to a higher level. If you haven’t caught them live yet, Screen Vinyl Image headlines a show tonight at the Black Cat with Chicago shoegazers Airiel and local indie rockers Dot Dash.
