Kingpen Slim – No Scrubs

On his newest single “No Scrubs”, DC rapper Kingpen Slim repeats “I’m a doctor with the drugs”. However the video appears to be generously sponsored by Arm & Hammer, so don’t believe that hype. Coming from his brand new release Trapper’s Delight, Slim had this to say about the single: “actually reminds me we meant to call it No Scrubs 2018 but I was movin too fast…oh well too late now…check it out anyway tho it’s flames…” The flow is fire and we ain’t confused.

Kingpen Slim – Disconnected

DMV rapper Kingpen Slim just won’t take the hint in his new music video for “Disconnected”, a bonus track from the Deluxe Edition of his most recent full length album Life After Doubt. Slim’s dark tale of lust that won’t let go is visualized by director Jay Gregory with help from Kacey Williams, singer for DC go-go band Black Alley.

Kingpen Slim – D’mons

Kingpen Slim had some fun with last year’s slinky EP Fxck Lxve, but his strength has always been his versatility in creative output. His full length album Life After Doubt got a little fuller with the release last week of the Deluxe Edition with a few bonus cuts, a new cover and this music video for the dark track “D’mons”. Jay Gregory crafted this video to accompany the story line of the song, a violent street beef between armed killers with tragic consequences.

Kingpen Slim – Bad Guy

DC rapper Kingpen Slim grabbed our attention earlier this year with “FYB”, the dirty and catchy slow-jam single from his EP Fxck Lxve. That was just an appetizer, and now he’s served the main course with Life After Doubt, a full length album boldly referencing both Life After Death by Biggie Smalls and Reasonable Doubt by Jay-Z. Fire up your SoundCloud app because the album is only available for streaming there, but the first single up is “Bad Guy” produced by J Buttah and we got the visuals for you right here. Director Jay Gregory shows us endless footage of Slim, dressed to the top of his game gliding down high-end hotel corridors, allowing us to focus on the eye-popping wordplay in his lyrics. His rhymes truly know no limits.

Kingpen Slim – Drug Dealers Anonymous

While fans of niche streaming service Tidal heavily hyped the Jay-Z featuring lead-off single “Drug Dealers Anonymous” from Pusha T’s new album, DC rapper Kingpen Slim took the beat from DJ Dahi and spun his own tale of coming up on the streets. If you missed Slim’s secret video screening last week at Blind Whino, check out the visuals below, and grab the track while you can from SoundCloud.
