LivingSocial sponsors a big show at the Half Street Fairgrounds featuring Gogol Bordello, Michael Franti & Spearhead, local ESL artists The Funk Ark, The Archives and Congo Sanchez, and headliners Thievery Corporation. Tickets appear to still be available, and with beautiful weather and this amazing lineup, it’s totally worth it. Chuck Brown videos

Like a few other local radio stations, yesterday Hometown Sounds played only Chuck Brown music to honor the legend. It seems fitting to repost a couple of videos we’ve run before. The first one, Chuck Baby, comes from his 2007 album We’re About The Business.

The second, Thievery Corporation‘s song The Numbers Game, from their 2008 album Radio Retaliation, really shows how much DC loved Chuck Brown.
