Strathmore‘s Artist-In-Residence program incubates and develops some of DC’s finest musical talent. Wednesday night current AIR Cecily celebrates the release of her soulful new album Songs of Love and Freedom, featuring collaborations with Diggs Duke, Columbia Nights, Drew Kid And Aaron Abernathy, at the Mansion at Strathmore.
Thursday 5/10:
Thursday night is the release party for a new zine called We Have Roots In Barry Farm, featuring art and memories of DC’s first black neighborhood post-Civil War. Head to Dew Drop Inn to buy a copy and catch sets by Thaylobleu, One Identity, Ardamus, Brandon Moses and Mary El and Gordon Sterling.
