Don’t Stay Home This Week 4/30

There are many live music and going out roundups in the DC blogosphere, but only ours gives you top notch DC music picks every single night. Count on it.

Monday 4/30:
Kudos to Galaxy Hut for consistently providing great #DCmusic options on quiet Monday nights. Tonight the Clarendon hot spot hosts Lindsay Collette’s new band Mona Speaks Mountains and indie prog rockers Bad Robot Jones.

Tuesday 5/01:
Lisa Said’s new band Piramid Scheme just released their debut EP Get Rich Quick Too last week. Keep the celebration going with their headlining show at Black Cat Tuesday night with grunge from Short Lives and delightful indie pop with Olivia Mancini & The Mates.

Wednesday 5/02:
DC blues rock champion Jonny Grave ranges from raucous honky tonk stompin’ to quiet mellow ballads, and everywhere in between. This Wednesday Grave plays a free show at Pearl Street Warehouse, a perfect opportunity to make friends with one of DC’s newest music venues.

Thursday 5/03:
Seems like we were just hosting a show at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage last week (it was!). But they can’t keep us away, so we’re bringing the classic and folk rock sounds of The Beanstalk Library to your ears and your hearts this Thursday. The free show starts at 6 PM and streams online live if you have to work late.
