Kaeley Pruitt-Hamm – Believe Her

Singer-songwriter Sara Curtin recently founded a new record label called Local Woman Records, and the first artist on her roster is Kaeley Pruitt-Hamm. Known in this town from her work with the band Wild Coast, Kaeley recently relocated to Seattle to better manage the medical treatment for the chronic infection Lyme disease. Though unable to work desk jobs, she continues to make music and offset her medical bills through crowdfunding support on her Patreon page. KPH’s debut solo EP is appropriately called Hi From Pillows and you can get it by pledging your support of this talented and tenacious musician. “Believe Her” is its first single, dedicated to the many survivors of misdiagnosed medical conditions in their struggle for healing. This music video, the first directed by Conor Whelan, will be used by international organization MEAction to raise awareness about the millions of people (of all genders) around the world who are impacted by difficult-to-diagnose illnesses like Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME or Chronic Fatigue) and the consequences that accompany not being believed by doctors and other people in power. Let’s not allow the greed and cowardice of those in power today prevent those like Kaeley to live a fulfilling and productive life.
