At noon today DC’s highest profile rapper Wale released the trailer for his hotly anticipated The Album About Nothing. The three minute video has Wale recounting his personal growth over the last year that featured a number of high profile beefs and meltdowns. The new release’s title harkens back to Wale’s notable 2008 release The Mixtape About Nothing and features extensive collaboration with Wale’s obsession Jerry Seinfeld himself. While we wait just a bit longer for a release date, check out Wale’s most recent music video “Golden Salvation”, from the 2013 release The Gifted.

The day is finally here! Wale‘s much-anticipated new album The Gifted drops today. Did you see the prominent feature on the front page of Sunday’s Washington Post by Chris Richards? The most exciting breakout star from DC in years getting his due, including a massive sold-out show at the Howard Theatre that blew up my Twitter feed Sunday night. Here’s a brand new video for the soulful, jazzy jam Love/Hate Thing featuring Sam Dew.

Why just release one music video at a time? Last night rap superstar Wale unveiled two new videos on BET. The first one is The Show, featuring Rick Ross and Aaron Wess, from the Folarin mixtape that came out last Christmas.

The second is our first taste from Wale’s upcoming full length album The Gifted, dropping in late June. Bad features Tiara Thomas, and it’s out now on iTunes.
