Short & sweet today DC. It’s almost Memorial Day weekend and most of you are probably out the door already anyway. Here’s some abstract goodness from Droo Bandos, aka Is and Of The. Acrobatic comes from the free EP of the same name.
Mush Records experimental musician Droo Bandos, under the stage name Is And Of The, has a new video from his latest FREE full length album Know Not. The evocatively named Assassins Hid in Our Loops has the trippy visuals you’d expect from this music, but also includes a bit of narrative from director James DuBourdieu. Keep a browser tab open on Is And Of The’s Facebook page for solo show announcements for the coming week.
Today’s DC music video comes from 20 year old college student Drew Bandos, a.k.a. Is and Of The. The experimental electronic musician recently released an EP called Handpainted Glow on the prestigious Mush Records which is really fantastic. The video for the lead off track, How We Used To Drift, by Kevin Sawicki & Alex Igidbashian, is as kaleidoscopic, ambient and interesting as the song.
DC music video of the day! Drew Bandos is a young student from Philadelphia studying here in DC and putting out some amazing electronic music under the name Is And Of The. He’s signed to the heavyweight Mush Records label, home of acts like Boom Bip, Daedelus, Aesop Rock and cLOUDDEAD, so you know you’re in for some challenging and appealing beats and sounds. Is And Of The’s recent EP Handpainted Glow is on sale at the Mush Records online store for only $3, and we’d strongly suggest getting it while you can for that cheap price! Check out this Facebook event for a mysterious Is And Of The show somewhere in Foggy Bottom Saturday evening, along with Pittsburgh acts Legs Like Tree Trunks and Plots. Here’s the awesome video for The Past Inside The Present, from the Handpainted Glow EP.
