It’s brand new music video day for DC supergroup Deathfix. In case you’ve forgotten, Dischord alums Brendan Canty from Fugazi, Devin Ocampo from Faraquet and Mark Cisneros from Medications added vocalist and keys player Rich Morel (Blowoff with Bob Mould) and released an excellent 7 song self-titled album on the venerable DC label earlier this year. The song that stays with you most from that album is Dali’s House, and after watching today’s video, you’ll be making up your own lyrics for the rest of the day. Catch them opening for Pinback at the 9:30 club on Sunday September 15th.

Deathfix rocked the Black Cat Backstage last night, and I hope you all went and had a blast while I drove home from Virginia Beach for 6 hours. In case you don’t yet know Deathfix, they’re the newest rock band on the Dischord label, a supergroup of Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Rich Morel (Blowoff with Bob Mould), Devin Ocampo (Faraquet) and Mark Cisneros (Medications). Here’s a fun video for their debut single Better Than Bad, from their self-titled debut album, featuring lots of great biking footage shot by Mat Hoffman, whose film “Birth of Big Air” was scored by Canty.

You all know about Deathfix by now, right? The DC supergroup of Mark Cisneros (Medications), Devin Ocampo (Faraquet), Brendan Canty (Fugazi) and Richard Morel (Bob Mould‘s solo band) have polished their sound over the last year, now poised to release their self-titled debut album on Dischord. This thing isn’t really a music video but an electronic press kit (EPK), giving you a sample of songs from the album with some cool visuals shot by Canty and edited by Morel.
